Infrared heating systems

Heating solutions with infrared technology – with different emitter systems and wavelength spectra, matched to your product.

Infrared systems

heating with light

Let there be light. Infrared energy has a special advantage in heating: not only does the heat emitted by the heating elements warm the irradiated body – the emitted wavelength is also absorbed by the body and converted into energy. We offer systems with different emitter types and wavelength spectra.

What is an NIR emitter, and how does infrared radiation interact with your product? We clarify this with you – trials are possible in the test center of our sister company Gerlach.

Wide or long

designs to suit the task

Infrared systems suit almost any design: long continuous lines, compact stationary systems or wide systems for heating web materials. The modular arrangement of the emitters allows both horizontal and vertical use.

Infrared can also be combined with other energy sources such as hot air or microwave. Did you know that a product has different properties at different temperatures and therefore reacts differently to radiation? This understanding of product and process allows an ideal system design.

Infrared types: short, medium and long wave

Which system is right for you? Let's find out together!

NIR – near infrared

Radiation in the wavelength range of 800 to 2,500 nanometers. This very bright light – often called “bright emitters” – stands out for its penetration depth, depending on the product's absorption. Fast heat-up and cool-down make NIR ideal for batch processes.

Medium- and long-wave emitters

Particularly suitable for drying and long-running processes. They allow very energy-efficient heating systems for a wide range of tasks.
